    Homes for a Changing Region 2021-2023 - Application Now Open

    The Metropolitan Mayors Caucus and the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning have opened a portal for expression of interest in the next round of Homes for Changing a Region. The portal will remain opened until September 17th. Assistance is free thanks to funding from IHDA. The assistance will develop short term housing action plans, which include a needs assessment with a data analysis, a local community survey, and an expert policy panel that covers 2-4 pressing housing

    Cook County Awards Transit Grants for South Suburban Projects

    The Cook County Department of Transportation and Highways has announced the list of 34 projects that will receive funding under the 2021 Invest in Cook grant program. A total of $8,502,580 will be distributed across 29 municipalities and will fund four transit, 15 bicycle/pedestrian, three freight and 12 road projects.     Village of Mokena Announces Passing of Former Mayor Ron Grotovsky

    It is with great sadness that the Village of Mokena announces the passing of former Mayor Ronald J. Grotovsky. Born November 3, 1943, Mr. Grotovsky served as a Village of Mokena Trustee from 1981-1985, and from 1987-1989.
