Go to 2040
Summer Public Outreach

To meet its many challenges, our region needs to carefully choose and implement policies and investments that will lead to positive results, both now and well into the future. The long-range, comprehensive GO TO 2040 plan is meant to do just this for metropolitan Chicago. Led by the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP), which was formed in 2005 to integrate transportation and land use planning in the region, the GO TO 2040 plan will set the course to sustain our region’s prosperity through 2040 and beyond by recommending specific policies, investments, and implementation responsibilities.

Throughout the summer of 2010, residents will have an opportunity to learn about the specific recommendations and comment on the plan. The public comment period will begin Friday, June 11 and end Friday, August 6, 2010. Residents are encouraged to can attend an Open House Presentation near their community or comment online at www.goto2040.org.
